My adverse reaction to the Pfizer vaccination has been an unusual one, but nevertheless, it has been devastating to my self-image and my overall mental well-being.

Back in 2015, I had a bad case of the flu and for some reason, when I became ill at that time, my hair all fell out. The doctor could not really explain it but once I recovered, my hair slowly grew back. Then in 2019, the same thing happened – a bad case of the flu again caused my hair to fall out. Again, no-one had any explanation for this anomaly but in due course, it grew back again so life went back to normal.

In all other ways I was fit and healthy and after working in hospitality for some time, I left that industry and focused on breeding toy poodles and living a happy life.

When the COVID vaccinations became available, I was not interested in getting one as I had doubts about the lack of testing and concerns about its efficacy.
I was, however, put under enormous pressure by my family to get it and in the end, I grudgingly relented.

I got my first vaccination on 7 September 2021.
I suffered no obvious reactions or side effects at that time, other than not feeling 100% myself and just feeling a little bit ‘odd’.
I subsequently fronted up for the 2nd vaccination on 28 September 2021.

Within a week of this second vaccination, my hair started falling out. A visit to the hairdresser confirmed my worst fears as she agreed that my hair coverage was looking very sparse and was actively dropping out. It was falling out in big clumps and within a very short time period, I became completely bald.

I saw my GP who stated that the hair loss was due to a bad reaction to the vaccine and a later visit to a dermatologist, confirmed that view. Neither the GP, nor the dermatologist were able to provide any treatment to grow it back but they both agreed that the vaccine had caused it.

In addition to the sudden hair loss, I also experienced periodic chest pains, as well as a huge lack of energy and serious brain fog. On a scale of 1 – 10, the chest pains were at about a pain level of 7 – 8. I have not seen any medical professionals about the chest pain, but I may have to pursue this option as the pain is ongoing.

On the previous occasions when my hair fell out, it grew back within a few months, but this time, it has not. Even now, two and a half years down the track, all I have is fine, white, baby-type hair that will not grow any more. Because it is so fine and white, it looks like I am fully bald. This is devastating to me as a female because I feel as though people are adversely judging me. Trying to find a new partner is now extremely difficult and my self-esteem has suffered terribly.

I never had COVID prior to getting the vaccine but in April 2022, seven months after my vaccination, I suffered a particularly bad dose of COVID. If my breathing had become any worse, I would have had to go to hospital.

All in all, the effects of this vaccine have seriously impacted my life and I deeply regret allowing myself to be coerced by my family to get it.

I believe that the government rushed the vaccinations through and that they knew the damage they were going to cause.
